    Originally opened in 2014, 'koffiespot' is an espresso bar and a warm and atmospheric place and functions as a living room and main coffee-supplier for people of Jordaan. Amsterdam's Jordaan is probably the most famous neighbourhood in The Netherlands. It has recently developed into a strong culinary district with some of the city's more highly regarded restaurants, shops and bars. The target group of 'koffiespot' is mostly with people who work and live in the Jordaan, but also tourists, 'laptop students' and coffee lovers. During my internship at Studio Dumbar in Rotterdam in 2016, I was asked to design a new visual identity for this cafe. My concept for the design was based on calligraphy which was able to show the new identity and main goal of 'koffiespot' (A café for young Amsterdam people) which tries to be modern by keeping the old traditions.     “Saber javanmard has thoroughly examined the remains in the buffer zone on the island of Cyprus seprating Turkish and Greek areas, where the UN has protected a central region since a violent conflict in the 1970’s. The area is frozen in time, with all its infrastructure still intact from the period. Saber has chosen to reconstruct a scale model of sections of the abandoned airport which in it’s glory days was state of the art.
