I am Simon Toulson-Clarke, a lifelong original-music creator with a classical lineage—my grandfather was a conductor and my father a professional pianist. I signed a Major Artist recording contract with Warner Bros Records while still a student in London, and that association has continued throughout my career. My band Red Box are still musically active and we tour two or three times a year. As a musician and songwriter, I’ve been fortunate to have enjoyed worldwide hit records with my band but alongside this I have built a portfolio that spans soundtrack work, soundscape design, and immersive mood music for film, theatre, and television. Recently I have created Memory Soundscapes for people with dementia, weaving familiar home ambience—countryside, running water, rivers, seas—with soothing music, family voices, stories, poetry, and songs. I love creating minimal, mood-driven textures that are not merely simplistic. My work thrives on flow, collaboration, and the joy of helping others feel calm and supported.
