Sushmitha Onkarappa

Responsible for architectural planning in Leistungsphasen 1–9 and the redesign of existing spaces into high-quality serviced apartments with a focus on space efficiency and economic optimization. Coordinated and managed over 180 projects across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and the UK, while considering country-specific building regulations. Conducted regulatory and market analyses for expansion sites and built a centralized knowledge database for the planning and expansion teams. Collaborated closely with Expansion, Project Management, clients and external partners to balance design quality, functionality and financial targets. Initiated and led design and team workshops to foster innovation and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Developed innovative concepts for stormwater management and collaborated with engineers to implement on-site solutions (LP 1–5). Designed animal ramps for large water bodies to improve ecological accessibility; recognized by colleagues for concept quality. Contributed to sustainable water infrastructure projects, including constructed wetlands and wastewater treatment, supporting interdisciplinary planning and implementation.

Created as-built plans, preliminary designs and 3D models to support project planning and execution. Developed execution plans and detailing to ensure accurate implementation. Performed space calculations per DIN 277 and bill of quantities for accurate project costing. Participated in competitions, including urban massing, concept development and presentation/visualization.
