Swapnil is an Indian who currently lives in Estonia and Bulgaria, which allows him to work on various film projects and collaborate with other talented professionals across Europe. He completed his Master's degree as part of the prestigious KinoEyes programme where he studied in Portugal, Scotland and Estonia. Notably, he won the National Film Competition in 2021 and 2022 –a prestigious award received by Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas. His docu ''Jar Of Time'' won Best Documentary at Oscars qualifying '' 23rd In The Palace Short Film Festival'' In addition to these remarkable achievements, Swapnil also received the BOB Award 2023 for the best dance film at Tallinn University. He had the privilege of participating in the prestigious PöFF 2023 industry program ''Frame within the Frame'' 2023. As part of this initiative, he received valuable support from world-renowned cinematographers Phedon Papamichael ASC and Philippe Ros and collaborated with gaffer Ville Penttila. Swapnil has contributed his skills and knowledge to several high-profile projects. These include the documentary film about Asiatic lions entitled "Khamma Gir Ne" (2018), for which he spent a whole year observing the wildlife in the Gir Forest. His short films have been selected at various film festivals around the world.

KEM is an original study programme that aims to promote new teaching and learning opportunities for learners and teachers in the fields of fiction film-making and creativity studies.
