    Project Overview

    • Title: The Imon Chronicles (Currently in Post-Production)
    • Genre: Comedy with Dramatic Elements
    • My Role: Composer & Sound Designer (Full Original Score)

    About the Project

This project is a dynamic, genre-fluid film that seamlessly blends comedy with dramatic undertones, alongside moments of suspense, confusion, and deep sadness. Because the film navigates so many distinct emotional shifts, the score serves as the connective tissue of the entire narrative—stepping in to elevate the production value, anchor the pacing, and carry the audience through rapid tone changes.

While the film is currently wrapping up its final edit, the complete original score is fully produced, mixed, and ready.

    Creative Approach & Musical Direction

To support a film that shifts between comedic, scary, and somber beats, the score relies on high-impact emotional curation and versatile arrangement techniques:

    • Navigating Multi-Genre Tones: Crafted distinct sonic themes to match the film’s erratic emotional spectrum—from light, quirky comedic cues to tense, jarring motifs for the scary and confusing sequences.
    • Elevating the Narrative: Employed rich, intentional orchestration to fill in the narrative gaps, giving the film a polished, cinematic weight and making every emotional beat hit with maximum impact.
    • The Emotional Core: Built upon proven dramatic scoring techniques to deliver deeply resonant, melancholic themes during the film’s valleys of sadness and vulnerability, ensuring the audience stays locked into the characters’ journeys.

    Jo Super

Project: Jo Super — Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

Available to view from my website – tabsoundandscore.com/reels

    Project Overview

    • Title: Jo Super
    • Genre: Drama / Light Comedy / Light Horror
    • My Role: Composer (Full Original Score)

    About the Project

Jo Super is a poignant short film that masterfully blends lighthearted, comedic elements with deep, driving emotional stakes. The narrative centers on a profound familial bond, culminating in a high-stakes, deeply moving climax.

This project serves as a showcase for character-driven storytelling, requiring a score that could seamlessly pivot from subtle, light comedy to intense, raw human emotion.

    Creative Approach & Musical Direction

The musical trajectory of Jo Super was designed entirely around the emotional arc of the characters, building toward a powerful, high-stakes resolution:

    • The Comedic & Dramatic Balance: The early segments of the film utilize grounded, minimalist instrumentation to support the light comedic timing without overshadowing the underlying dramatic tension.
    • The Climax & Emotional Resolution: The score peaks during the film’s vital final scene, where Jo Super rescues her brother from the brink of suicide. To match the weight of this moment, the music transitions into a deeply intimate, swelling arrangement that captures the raw relief, vulnerability, and unconditional love of the sibling bond.

    My Deliverables

    • Full Original Score: Composed, arranged, and produced all thematic material and underscore.
    • Emotional Orchestration: Utilized delicate piano motifs and swelling string arrangements specifically tailored to mirror the psychological shift from despair to comfort. Horror aspects portrayed through disgusting synths and suspenseful repeating dark sounds.
    • Audio Mixing & Mastering: Maintained a clean, dynamic stereo mix that breathes alongside the dialogue, ensuring the music elevates the performances without competing with them.
    • **Cue sheets accurately matching with the picture timestamps, organized and easily readable

    Technical & Tools Used

    • DAW: Ableton Live 11
    • Key Skills: Dramatic Orchestration, Leitmotif Development, Tempo Mapping, Audio Post-Production

    The Night Shift Driver

Project: The Night Shift Driver — Original Video Game Soundtrack

    Project Overview

    About the Project

The Night Shift Driver is a high-anxiety indie horror game where players navigate dark city streets as a rideshare driver while a murderer is on the loose. The soundtrack serves a dual purpose, doubling as immersive, environmental background music and a psychological tension-builder.

    Creative Approach & Musical Direction

The audio direction captures the isolation of a late-night drive mixed with systemic dread:

    • In-Car Radio: Composed a curated playlist of late-night lofi and electronic cyber-city tracks designed to play directly through the vehicle’s speakers, grounding the player in a moody, neon-lit aesthetic.
    • Spooky Title Theme: Crafted an unsettling main menu theme that immediately signals the game’s horror elements and establishes the psychological weight of the narrative.
    • Atmospheric Contrast: Balanced soothing, repetitive lofi city beats with sudden, jarring shifts in dynamic tension.

    My Deliverables

    • Full Soundtrack: Composed, produced, and mixed the entire in-game radio playlist and main thematic scores.
    • Dialogue Work: Wrote and performed in-game character dialogue for multiple roles.
    • Diegetic Audio Design: Equalized and mixed the radio tracks to sound realistically enclosed within a car speaker system.
    • Engine Optimization: Engineered seamless loop points and dynamic audio transitions tailored to changing gameplay scenarios.

    Technical & Tools Used

    • DAW: Ableton Live 11
    • Key Skills: Diegetic Audio Production, Lofi & Electronic Synthesis, Horror Scoring, Voice Acting & Dialogue Writing, Audio Integration

    The Time Warrior

Project: The Time Warrior — Original Video Game Soundtrack

    Project Overview

    • Title: The Time Warrior
    • Platform: itch.io
    • Genre: Action / Adventure / Time-Travel
    • My Role: Composer & Audio Producer (Full Loopable Soundtrack)
    • Listen Here: https://www.twine.net/signin

    About the Project

The Time Warrior is an action-packed indie game where players battle through waves of enemies and distinct boss fights to progress across different historical eras. The game features three main stages: Ancient Egypt, the Medieval period, and a distant Future age.

Because the entire gameplay loop revolves around traveling through time, the soundtrack needed to serve as the primary anchor for setting the mood, location, and historical context of each era.

    Creative Approach & Musical Direction

To create an authentic yet engaging gaming experience, I conducted extensive ethnomusicological research and historical study before writing a single note:

    • Ancient Egypt: Studied traditional scales, instrumentation, and regional rhythms to craft an exotic, high-stakes soundscape that feels ancient yet driving.
    • Medieval Age: Researched period-accurate modal melodies, instrumentation (such as lutes, flutes, and early percussion), and folk structures, translating them into battle-ready themes.
    • The Future: Shifted entirely into high-energy electronic synthesis, heavy bass, and modern sound design to contrast the historical eras.
    • Adaptive Integration: Every track was meticulously composed, arranged, and mixed to function as a seamless, infinite loop, maintaining player immersion during intense combat and boss encounters.

    My Deliverables

    • Full Original Soundtrack: Composed and produced distinct, loopable level themes and intense boss battle tracks for each historical era.
    • Historical Reconstruction: Researched and integrated era-appropriate musical theory and virtual instrumentation to provide cultural authenticity to the world-building.
    • Loop Optimization: Edited and mixed all audio files with flawless loop points, optimized specifically for seamless game engine integration.

    Technical & Tools Used

    • DAW: Ableton Live 11
    • Key Skills: Historical Music Research, Loop Composition, Interactive Video Game Scoring, Sound Design

    Deer God!

Project: Deer God! — Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

    Project Overview

    • Title: Deer God!
    • Director: Lucy Broderson
    • Production: In Association with The Film Fund
    • Genre: Comedic Horror (Horror-Comedy)
    • My Role: Composer (Full Original Score)

    About the Project 🦌

Deer God! is a chaotic, genre-bending comedic horror short film directed by the visionary Lucy Broderson and backed by The Film Fund. The film masterfully balances laugh-out-loud comedy with spine-chilling, atmospheric horror.

As the sole composer for the film, my mission was to craft a sonic identity that could pivot instantly between terrifying suspense and sharp, satirical humor. The soundtrack acts as a narrative driving force, heightening the absurdity of the comedic beats while delivering genuine, pulse-pounding dread during the horror sequences.

    Creative Approach & Musical Direction

To match the unique tone of a comedic horror, the score utilizes a dynamic blend of musical styles:

    • The Horror: Eerie, atmospheric soundscapes, tense strings, dissonant brass, and bending shrill sounds to build genuine suspense.
    • The Comedy: Melodramatic motifs and slightly quirky, off-kilter instrumentation that highlights the satirical and ridiculous nature of the situations.
    • The Concept: Developing a distinct “forest deity” motif that evolves throughout the short, blending natural, organic textures with haunting synthesis, reoccurring bass lines and bending melodies.

    My Deliverables

    • Full Original Score: Composed, arranged, and produced all instrumental tracks from scratch.
    • Dynamic Leitmotifs: Created specific character and creature themes to deepen the storytelling.
    • Audio Mixing & Mastering: Delivered high-quality, film-ready stereo mixes calibrated perfectly for dialogue and sound effects spacing.
    • Collaboration: Worked closely with director Lucy Broderson through spotting sessions, animatics, and final cuts to ensure the audio perfectly matched her cinematic vision.

    Technical & Tools Used

    • DAW: Ableton Live 11/12
    • Libraries: Spitfire Audio, Splice Instruments, MSS, Heavyocity
    • Key Skills: Orchestral Scoring, Sound Design, Tempo Mapping, Audio Post-Production
