Hi, I’m Thomas Cristofoletti.

Originally from the Italian Alps, I’ve been living and working in Southeast Asia since 2012 as a documentary filmmaker, photographer, and drone pilot.

I co-founded RUOM, a collective of journalists focused on social reportage throughout Asia. Climate change is a key passion of mine, with my long-term work concentrating on the developmental impacts in the Mekong region.

My work has been published internationally in outlets such as The New York Times, Bloomberg, The Guardian, and others. I’ve also collaborated on campaigns for NGOs such as USAID, WWF, The Obama Foundation, and UNICEF, combining storytelling with a purpose to drive awareness and change.
