I am Athanasios Kokkalas, a composer and conductor with a Master of Music in Theory and Composition (Film Scoring concentration) from NYU Steinhardt and a Bachelor of Music in Theory and Composition. I create original scores and arrangements for film, theatre, and orchestral settings, blending Greek and American musical influences. My work spans concert pieces, film scores, and arrangements for orchestras and choirs, often in collaboration with soloists and ensembles. I also maintain an active teaching practice and lead ensembles across diverse cultural contexts. Based in Venice, Florida, I direct music programs, ensembles, and school bands, while teaching theory and ear training.
