Stage to Page: Visual Identity & Scenography for Modern Theatre

    Folio -

    Overview
As both a visual designer and a seasoned theatre practitioner, I view the creation of key art for the performing arts as an extension of the stage itself. This project showcases a curated selection of visual identities, promotional posters, and campaign collateral designed for contemporary theatrical productions.
    The Challenge
Theatre design requires capturing the emotional gravity, subtext, and pacing of a live performance and translating it into a single, static visual frame. The challenge lies in creating artwork that doesn’t just market a play, but honors its thematic complexity while immediately arresting the viewer’s attention in crowded cultural landscapes.
    The Creative Approach
Leveraging my background in stagecraft and technical production, my design approach focuses on narrative-driven minimalist composition. By employing a conscious “True Autumn” color palette, custom typographic layouts, and structural symmetry, I developed a visual ecosystem that mirrors the atmosphere of the stage. Each poster acts as a key art piece, blending human elements with bold, artistic geometries to evoke curiosity and capture the essence of the script long before the curtains rise.

Leher - Child's right NGO Visual Revamp

    Folio -
As a Visual Director at Leher, a dedicated child rights NGO focusing on child protection and responsibilities, my role encompasses the development and direction of the visual language for the organization’s social presence. This involves creating engaging and compelling visuals that align with Leher’s mission and values.

    Key Responsibilities:

Visual Language Development: Establish and maintain a consistent visual language that effectively communicates the organization’s mission and resonates with its audience.
Social Presence Management: Craft visually appealing content for social media platforms, ensuring that it captures attention and encourages interaction.
Balancing Content and Visual Appeal: Transform complex and weighty subject matters into inviting and accessible visual content, making it easier for the audience to engage with and understand critical issues related to child rights and protection.

    Challenges:
Complex Content Simplification: Develop strategies to present significant and often complex topics in a manner that is both educational and visually appealing.
Audience Engagement: Create visuals that not only inform but also invite engagement, encouraging the audience to learn more about and support child rights initiatives.
This role requires a blend of creativity, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of social issues to effectively communicate the organization’s message and drive meaningful engagement.

    Goongoonalo Music Album Arts

    Project Folio

One of the most exciting projects I’ve had the opportunity to work on was GoonGoonalo, the music app launched by legendary lyricist Javed Akhtar and Grammy-winning composer Shankar Mahadevan.
I had the privilege of designing the cover artworks for the platform featuring some of India’s finest musical talents, including Amit Trivedi, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shreya Ghoshal, Shankar Mahadevan, Shaan, Sonu Nigam, Shweta Mohan, Amitabh Bhattacharya, and Irshad Kamil, among many others.
    The interesting part?
Not a single artist photoshoot was conducted for these covers.
Every visual was crafted using existing assets, carefully composited, retouched, and designed to create a cohesive identity for each release while maintaining the premium look and feel the platform deserved.
This project reinforced an important lesson for me. Great design isn’t limited by the resources you have. It’s driven by how creatively you use them.
