I was brought onto the team early because the director wanted clean, high-quality audio. I achieved this using professional equipment, including shotgun microphones, dead cats, Zoom recorders, and headphones. I ensured recordings stayed between -12 and -18 dB, adjusting gain as needed for louder or quieter moments to maintain consistent levels.

paper Wild Life Documentary (In Class)

For my Edit & Color class, I created a short documentary about a small canned seafood company using four hours of interview and b-roll footage. I shaped the material into a cohesive story focused on the “little guy,” highlighting how being a small business allows them to prioritize quality and people. I also cut the music to preserve natural endings and used it to elevate the emotional tone of the story.

paper The Door Knob - Short Film

I focused on creating a clear beginning, middle, and end, giving both characters distinct goals and personalities. I captured high-quality audio using lavaliers to ensure clear dialogue from the actors. The project was edited using over eight pieces of coverage to enhance storytelling and highlight different perspectives and emotions through shot selection and angles. I collaborated closely with the cinematographer, cast, and co-director to ensure everyone understood and supported the story.
