My name is Tomas Della Torre. I am a dedicated alumna from NYU Steinhardt's Department of Music and Performing Arts Professions with a Bachelor of Music in Music Technology. I have experience engineering in both live and studio environments. I am currently the Head Audio Engineer at SOB's in New York City where I maintain a variety of responsibilities including : run FOH and monitors for national touring bands and ensembles, maintain L-Acoustics PA, RF coordination, and Dante network, recommend gear purchases, hire audio crew, advance shows, collaborate and coordinate with performers, artists, and management teams. Within the studio environment, I have experience as a Production Assistant at NYU's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, where I advise and oversee students working on assignments in studios and production suites, maintain, clean, and prepare equipment, instruments, microphones, and facilities and keep record and inventory of equipment that is checked in and out, document needs for students, faculty, and staff, and file trouble reports for broken gear.
