My Role in the Creation of “Mistreated”
As the Co-Producer and Mixing Engineer for “Mistreated,” I collaborated closely with Xanny to elevate the track’s emotional weight and deliver a polished, high-impact final product:

Co-Production: I helped shape the track’s sonic identity, focusing on crafting a dark, atmospheric beat that mirrored the vulnerability in the lyrics. We refined the arrangement to build tension effectively, ensuring the shifts between introspective verses and hard-hitting choruses felt seamless and dynamic.

Mixing: I engineered the mixdown with a strong focus on vocal clarity and depth. Given the emotional nature of the track, I used creative delays and reverbs to place the vocals in a wide, haunting space while keeping them front and center. I carefully balanced the low-end elements so they hit with weight and precision without clouding the song’s intricate melodies.
