Currently available for remote work only (I live on an island) as a consultant or employee. Whether I'm called a Product Designer or a UX Designer, I am ultimately a problem solver who not only provides quality product design, but considers the holistic experience and impact of the product. I have years of experience working across consumer and enterprise products/services with Microsoft, Amazon, Expedia, and many other companies large and small. User-Centered Design (UCD) is key to my process. Without maintaining focus on the people who use your product or service, failure is almost certain. You can get lucky some of the time but guessing at what might work isn’t a reliable strategy. UCD is a practice that assumes the people who will actually use the product are the ones for whom you’re creating. By placing the emphasis on what users need and desire you take a big step toward understanding their perspective, the activities and tasks that are part of their job, and what they want to accomplish. User empathy, identifying top tasks, scenario building, and structuring user flows are among the aspects on which I focus.
