paper Contemporary Labour Issues in Sri Lanka's Tea Plantation Sector

My final multimedia project is a documentary video series that explores the ongoing labour challenges faced by workers in Sri Lanka’s tea plantation sector. Through a combination of visual storytelling, photography, video interviews, and graphic design, the series sheds light on issues such as access to basic needs, healthcare and nutrition, education, and cultural life in plantation communities.

The project is divided into thematic episodes, each around 8 minutes long, aiming to inform and inspire action by highlighting the voices and daily realities of the workers. I took a hands-on role in every creative and technical aspect—concept development, field research, filming, editing, sound design, and promotional visuals.

This work not only showcases my ability to handle a large-scale production independently but also reflects my commitment to using multimedia as a tool for social impact.
