    Ponneni - Monochrome Textile Project

    As part of my Masters course, I had to formulate a collection of 20 textile samples and 3 upcycled garments - all in monochrome (based on a single specific chosen color) - using the techniques of weaving, foiling, devore (burnout fabric), screen print, flocking and dyeing. I had chosen a rusty brown-gold, rooting it to the brown skin and gold ornamentation of my Indian culture. The collection includes samples and upcycled garments that combine different techniques innovatively to visualise the concept.
