“Mary” is my senior thesis film from Laguna College of Art and Design. It’s about a young girl, Mary, with a sewn-up mouth who inadvertantly creates a sentient sockpuppet. I spent roughly 2 years creating the film almost entirely by myself; This includes writing, storyboarding, animating, modeling, compositing, sound design, and even composing the score. The film incorporates hand-drawn 2D animation over stylized 3D backgrounds to create a unique look. “Mary” won the full award in the Micro Movies category at CTNX 2025.
