Victor Wahlström is a jazz and folk guitarist from Sweden. Born to a French mother and a Swedish father, he grew up in a bilingual environment, which enriched his musical journey. At the age of eight, he began playing the guitar, initially exploring pop, folk, and rock music. However, it was at 15 that he discovered jazz and improvisation, igniting a new passion within him. He started his music education at Malmö Latin High School, specializing in jazz. After graduating in 2019, Victor moved to Paris to join the IMEP (International Music Educators Paris) jazz school. During his two years of study, he had the opportunity to learn from renowned professors such as Peter Giron and Josiah Woodson, while participating in significant concerts, including a quartet performance at Sunset Sunside and a Big Band concert at Café de la Danse. After a gap year dedicated to traveling, including four months in Africa, he joined CMDL (Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood) for professional training, which he will successfully complete in June 2024.
