I've been working as a graphic designer and artist in Sonoma County since 2016 after having my two girls. Previously, I worked in restaurants in both front and back of the house capacities and have a Culinary Arts degree. Restaurant life and children don't mix well, especially when both parents are in that field, so with having to adjust to motherhood, I needed to pivot work-wise. I've always loved art and design and something clicked after having my girls to start pursuing it again. I took a few design classes years before so with some previous knowledge, a good eye and some lucky early projects, I taught myself graphic design. In working with clients, I think it's so important to get to know them and their project on a personal level to then have a better and clearer understanding of their expectations. I enjoy connecting with people and believe forming that kind of relationship helps the work to be that much more successful. In my spare time (which tbh there isn't a lot of!), I love to be outdoors and make a point to enjoy it at least once a day by either taking a walk or hike with my Golden Retriever/ Great Pyrenees mix, Bowie, trail running or kayaking. I love to cook and bake, probably even more so now that I don't do it for a living anymore, gardening, puzzles and vintage/thrift shopping.
