    Original Song | Eternity
A song about living forever This was very fun to make and I want to give a huge shoutout to Chain for the art! It was great working with them on this. The poem in the beginning is by Christina Rossetti. One thing I want to bring attention to is the the use of "haply" on the last few lines; rather than a misspelling of "happily", this word is an archaic word that means "by chance" or "maybe". While beautifully written, it's a somewhat morbid poem that reflects on the concept of death and how the deceased are unable to feel or experience life. And thus, whether they are remembered through song or forgotten as the grass grows above their buried body is inconsequential. For those that live on - even those who felt that life may have been meaningless - the loss of a loved one can leave a lasting and pervasive effect on their mindset. And while the living may be either stricken with undeniable grief or eventually learn to forget and move forward, the deceased may either have an eternal afterlife or fade to nothingness with all worldly memories ultimately being forgotten.
