Victor Mambu is an Indonesian-American filmmaker, actor, and storyteller whose work explores migration, identity, and moral tension. Born in Indonesia and raised in Southern California after immigrating to the U.S. at age two and a half, with formative years in the Midwest, he draws on a cross-cultural upbringing to tell stories about agency and belonging.
With over a decade of experience as an educator and mentor, Victor brings a humanistic, empathetic lens to his work. His ten-year acting background—earning SAG eligibility through a co-star role on an Apple TV+ series—shapes his performance-driven writing. He also trains in Kali and Pencak Silat, informing his physical storytelling.
His credits include Fallout Season 2 and Disneyland’s 70th campaign. He recently directed his first short, @Jaxson67, and wrote Hari Kartini, reflecting his commitment to culturally specific, globally resonant stories.
