This is the first promotional video I made for my second opera, Morning Star. This video will give listeners/viewers and understanding of what the opera is about and what it will feel like.
The First Fruit is a large-scale operatic work that explores the moment where devotion, identity, and consequence collide. At its core, it is a story about offering—what we give, what it costs us, and what remains when the act is complete.
The work unfolds in a world shaped by spiritual tension and human fragility, where characters are driven not by circumstance alone, but by deeply internal convictions. Each musical gesture is designed to function as narrative architecture: motifs evolve as characters transform, harmonic language shifts to reflect psychological states, and orchestration serves as an extension of the drama itself rather than accompaniment.
What distinguishes The First Fruit is its cinematic sensibility. Though conceived for the stage, the score is constructed with a film composer’s mindset—long-form thematic development, precise emotional pacing, and an acute awareness of silence, space, and timing. Large orchestral forces are balanced with intimate, exposed textures, allowing the music to move fluidly between epic scale and personal vulnerability.
This work demonstrates my approach to storytelling through music: emotionally direct, structurally intentional, and grounded in the belief that music should not simply support a narrative—it should be the narrative voice.

I composed this for my husband’s mother. A very loving and kind woman!
This is a movement from one of my symphonies. It’s a fun, and elegant waltz you may hear at a Masquerade Ball…
I had fun with this one around Halloween. It’s just a short supernatural suspense piece…
I then entered a period in which I composed several works for small string ensembles and orchestra. This piece is one of five Dark Dances in B Minor for String Quintet and Orchestra, written for the Beaver Dam Area Orchestra in Wisconsin as an expression of gratitude for their continued encouragement and their commitment to premiering so many of my works.
A delightful animated short film of a youthful shepherd of the forest who, together with forest creatures, ushers in Spring from the bitter cold Winter.
This is a promo for an upcoming Terminator film. I rescored it. High action!
This is a comedy short film of a man who passes his zest for life onto his caretaker while he is living out his last days in a British nursing facility.
A short documentary on the life of Penguins.
A fascinating animated short film tracing the elements of light and life. This was for film given for a film scoring contest I entered.
I have a lot of videos on YouTube. This one I created years ago for someone dear to me. It teeters on the line of appropriateness. But, being a piece I composed reflecting on sexual passion, it offers insight into another depth of being that I can bring to life through music.
