Hi, I’m Bill Lucey. I worked as an Editorial Researcher at Cleveland Crain's Business, helping compile data for their Book of Lists, which is regularly published in the print edition. I was laid off in May 2021. I previously served as a researcher at the Baseball Heritage Museum (BHM) at the newly refurbished League Park in Cleveland, the former home of the Cleveland Indians through September 1946. I contribute freelance pieces to the National Pastime Museum and the Huffington Post, and I maintain several blogs including The Morning Delivery, Newspaper Alum, and my current DailyNewsGems. My background includes a stretch as a News Researcher for the South Florida Sun-Sentinel from 2002 to 2008, where I wrote chronologies and timelines for both print and online editions and conducted criminal background checks for reporters and editors using public records such as the Florida FDLE, DMV checks, Tri-County Court System records (Broward, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach) and PACER for national records.
