Hi, I’m David Wilder. I’m a composer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer based in LA, with a career spanning film, television, advertising, and live performance. I am a 2001 Grammy nominee for co-writing Macy Gray’s hit I Try and songs on De La Soul’s And the Anonymous Nobody, and I’ve recorded and performed with artists like Norah Jones, Macy Gray, and Liz Phair. I’ve played electric and upright bass on more than 100 albums and worked on blockbuster scores and international campaigns, while also performing with LA reggae group The Lions on Stonesthrow and Ubiquity Records. In addition to writing and performing, I’ve led music production efforts for modern media, including video game promos and global campaigns, and I’ve founded and run teams that deliver music under tight deadlines.
