Industry; As an artist, I consider my greatest strength to be my adaptability—like a chameleon! I thrive on exploring new styles, not only in drawing but also in design and creation. It’s truly fascinating how immersing myself in different techniques has shaped my artistic identity, helping me discover my unique expression while also paving the way for fresh directions in my projects. My career has been an incredible journey, especially over the past five years, during which I've had the privilege of collaborating with two prominent Japanese game and animation companies. I started as a junior artist and worked my way up to lead artist and creative art director. In these roles, I tackled a diverse range of responsibilities, including designing character turnarounds and expression sheets for 2D illustrations, Gacha cards, and various promotional materials. I also created 2D background concepts and planning sheets for 3D translation, which involved designing original buildings that fit the game's narrative and replicating branded shops. One of the highlights was working on a free-roaming experience of Tokyo, where I meticulously studied the streets to replicate them as closely as possible while adding my artistic flair. This required flat views from all angles as well as isometric and point perspective illustrations. Beyond visual design, my expertise includes storyboarding, UI aesthetics, and world-building/narrative design. Over these five years, I’ve developed skills in team management, meeting tight deadlines, maintaining quality control, and providing innovative creative guidance. This environment has not only enriched my creative capabilities but has also shaped my work ethic and standards for delivering top-notch results. Now, as I seek new opportunities, I am grateful for the transformative experiences I’ve had. My passion for the 2D side of the creative industry, particularly in games and animation, continues to drive me. Having explored the Japanese market, I'm excited to expand my experience within the UK industry and/ or with hybrid or international projects. I’m always eager to embrace new challenges and bring unique visions to life, and I look forward to what lies ahead! Freelance; I started my professional career at 16, and over the past decade, I have immersed myself in various art forms, and over the last ten years, I have immersed myself in various art forms, exploring both traditional and digital media art forms. Throughout my freelance career, I've had the pleasure of working with a range of independent clients, allowing me to explore various styles, industry workflows, and team sizes. I've had the pleasure of collaborating with a sake company to develop their commercial branding, collaborating with best-selling authors on promotional materials, and assisting individual fashion designers with material prints.
