Dear Hiring Team, My name is Rafael and I'm a Game Developer specializing in Gameplay Programming with Unity, C# with interests in 3D Animation and Shaders. I am interested in this role and I am eager to bring my skills, creativity, my ambition to learn and further evolve as a developer but also as a person to your company and help with the development of something special. Most recently I contributed to the Mobeybou educational app series, where I focused on optimizing code, solving bugs, implementing new features, developing new apps in an AGILE/SCRUM environment, publishing them to Android/iOS/Windows. I have experience on Jira but the way our team was set we used Google Spreadsheets/Docs for our tasks. I'm currently writing my thesis to complete my Master's degree in Digital Games Development Engineering based on the Mobeybou project, on how educational story app/games can be used by teachers to further improve teaching methods and how it impacts the children and their knowledge. I’ve always had passion for playing games, especially RPG, getting lost in a world crafted by someone else. My curiosity on how they were made kept growing, secretly wishing to be involved in that creation, which nurtured this passion of mine. I’ve always applied an “hacker” mentality when playing games, pushing the mechanics to every limit to find bugs and exploits and report them to the developers, that feeling of finding something new and that I could help make games better from the “outside” was really gratifying. I would be so excited to bring this passion for game development, that keen mentality to every detail and my teamwork capabilities to your projects. Please feel free to explore my portfolio and CV for more examples of my work. And feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions! Sincerely, Rafael
