About
I am YAXI RUAN, a passionate interior designer with 15+ years of experience in technical drawings, material and craftsmanship detailing, and project coordination. I hold a Construction Engineering Technology Diploma from Algonquin College and a Bachelor of Arts in Design from the China Academy of Art. I am proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape, and the Adobe Creative Suite for visuals and presentations. I have independently managed design-to-build projects, with a focus on private residential spaces and lifestyle-driven concepts.
In addition to design, I contribute as an educator and volunteer, teaching creative painting to middle-class students and sketching to senior classes at TalentColor Art School of Ottawa, and supporting Habitat for Humanity in product organization and promotions. I leverage visualization workflows and 360° VR experiences to accelerate client decisions and deliver high-quality results, earning strong client satisfaction and referrals.
