My creative journey began in 2021 with the independent publication of a picture book dedicated to the Tao people of Orchid Island. This early collaboration sparked a deep passion for visual storytelling, leading me to the UK, where I completed my MA in Children’s Book Illustration at the University of Central Lancashire in 2024. That same year, I was honored to be selected as a Mentee for the Association of Illustrators (AOI). Over a six-month mentorship, I brought my dummy book, The Whistle, to life. My growth continued into 2025 under the mentorship of illustrator Anny Chen, where I refined my approach to character design and visual personality. I’m a mixed-media illustrator who creates colorful, whimsical, and richly-textured artwork for children’s picture books. In 2024, I participated in an AOI mentorship program to develop human characters while writing a story and creating a dummy book, showcasing my versatility in crafting both animal and human characters. I love experimenting with diverse materials, and I’ve drawn inspiration from artists like Eric Carle, incorporating tissue-paper texture in projects such as Shh! The Secret Adventure.
