We are currently seeking a talented and experienced video editor who has expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro to join our growing team. The role involves editing short-form cooking content, interlaced with a storytelling voiceover. The incumbent will be responsible for assembling raw footage, editing video sequences, and delivering creative and engaging final projects that captivate our audience. Looking for someone with the capacity to edit 4-5 youtube shorts per week (typically 30-90 seconds long with most being about 65 seconds).
Responsibilities:
Receive and understand the storyline from the voiceover to determine the logical sequence of the video.
Transcoding and converting footage to maintain video quality.
Combine and edit raw footages to meet script and storyboard requirements.
Trim footage and arrange sequences to ensure coherence with voiceover narration.
Perform color grading, sound editing, and music integration as necessary.
Enhance videos with creative techniques to engage viewers and improve retention.
Export and deliver final videos while ensuring they meet technical standards and specifications.
Consistently meet deadlines while delivering high-quality work.
Requirements:
Proven work experience as a video editor, ideally in the cooking or food industry.
Solid experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and other video editing software.
Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and timing in relation to video editing.
Detail-oriented with the ability to bring creative ideas to life.
Excellent communication skills, ensuring clear understanding of voiceover and script goals.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work efficiently.
