As a child, I always had a deep appreciation for art. Whether it was drawing, painting, or crafting, I would spend hours lost in the creative process. It was a way for me to express myself and let my imagination run wild. Growing up, I continued to immerse myself in art, taking classes and attending workshops. In high school, I discovered graphic design and fell in love with the idea of creating designs that communicated a message. I was fascinated by how design could influence people's thoughts and feelings, and I knew that this was something I wanted to pursue as a career. After graduating from high school, I enrolled in Kutztown University of Pennsylvania's Communication Design program. During my time at Kutztown, I gained a deep understanding of design principles and honed my skills in painting, drawing, typography, and brand design. I also learned how to use software in the Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and AfterEffects to bring my designs to life. Upon completing my degree, I my brand designer position at Lantern Press where I was able to showcase my talents in typography and layout, creating graphics for wall signs, catalogs, and wholesale product packaging. I also had the opportunity to travel to Atlanta and set up a showroom for the company, which led to more sales at a single trade show than ever before. At my current position at FranklinCovey, I was given the exciting task of illustrating a series of booklets for children from ages K–8 that teach the principles of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People while fostering creativity. It is inspiring to know that my work will be used to empower the next generation. After a few years in the design industry, I realized that I missed creating art and working with my hands and wanted to use my new-found design skills to make a difference in my community. I started exploring mural painting and was blown away by how murals could transform a space and bring people together. My first commissioned painting was a collaboration with a local Distillery in Salt Lake City, and the experience was exhilarating. From then on, I knew that mural painting was something I wanted to do more of. Today, I am a professional graphic designer and mural painter, with a passion for creating designs that inspire and bring joy to people's lives. Whether I am designing booklets for children or collaborating on large-scale murals, I am constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible with art and design.

    uniE621 Golden Pearl Branding
As a luxury cruise ship, The Golden Pearl was in need of branding that speaks to their desired clientele. For the logo mark, we landed on a clam shell with a depiction of their ship sitting on top of a golden pearl. #logo #illustrator #designer #branding
    uniE621 Illustrated Booklets
I had the pleasure of illustrating 5 booklets that are a part of the Education division’s “Extended Learning” program. Elementary through high school students attend this course to learn the fundamentals of leadership through hands-on activities that are powered by ideas presented in The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey. The Illustration style of these booklets is intended to be whimsical, simple, and imperfect. They are meant to inspire creativity in the children and encourage them to create. The example below is from the Exploration Series which is based off of a jungle theme.
    uniE621 Symposium '24 Social Media
Symposium is an annual conference put on by the Franklin Covey Education Division. This year I was tasked with designing marketing materials for this event including social media posts, emails, flyers, and signage. The objective was to emulate the Leader in Me brand but still different enough to be recognized as Symposium. To accomplish this, I worked closely with the art director and another designer to nail down a monochrome color palette, and a solid design direction including the organic shapes and circles.
    uniE621 FranklinCovey Brand Guidelines
I worked closely with the art director to refresh the Leader in Me brand as well as create numerous deliverables such as presentations, workbooks, merchandise, and illustrations. Considering our target audience is mainly school-aged children and their educators, we wanted to present the brand as more friendly and approachable. To accomplish this, we landed on soft, organic shapes as a main design element as well as ensuring that there are no harsh angles in our designs by frequently using rounded rectangles and circles.
    uniE621 Cherry on Top Logo
Cherry on Top is a 70’s themed ice cream shop. With their new location and truck opening up, they wanted a way to establish brand recognition and draw in new customers so I was tasked with creating their logo, brand identity, 2 murals, and a chalk board for their truck’s menu. #branding #illustrator #designer #graphicdesigner #logodesign
