Graphic & Web Designer at Waste Not Café

September 1, 2023 - May 1, 2024

Designed a refreshed visual identity for a sustainable cafe, creating logo concepts, colour palette and typography that communicate its community-focused values. Built a responsive Bootstrap website prototype to showcase the café’s story, menu and events, applying hierarchy and accessibility principles for clear, user-friendly navigation. Produced promotional assets (social media graphics and on-site posters) in Adobe Photoshop, using the new brand system to ensure a consistent look and feel across print and digital touchpoints.

Designed and prototyped an interactive product on positive body movement in Adobe XD and Figma, applying user-centred design principles across web and mobile. Conducted UX research (literature reviews, interviews and thematic analysis) to understand user needs and iterate wireframes and user flows. Collaborated in a UX team to create user personas, map user journeys, run usability testing and present findings and design decisions to tutors and peers.

Student Exchange / SHAPE at SHAPE Institution, Hong Kong

Selected to represent UWE Bristol on an international exchange to SHAPE institution in Hong Kong. Collaborated with SHAPE students on a digital media project, planning and producing a creative video combining our experience of Hong Kong’s culture with personal storytelling. Presented the final project to lecturers and international students, building confidence in networking, showcasing skills and communicating ideas to a new audience.
