Adam Richard spent ten years as a senior writer on Hard Quiz and Hard Quiz Kids for ABC TV and is co-writer of The Hard Quiz Book of the World's Hardest Arses, published by the ABC Books imprint of HarperCollins. In 2025 & 2026 he was writer for the broadcast of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras. He is the co-creator, co-writer and co-star of the 2012 ABC TV comedy series Outland about a group of gay science fiction fans. Adam performed stand-up comedy for over 20 years around Australia, the UK and USA. He spent ten years on top-rating breakfast radio shows in Melbourne, Adelaide, Hobart, Perth and Brisbane. He appeared on many embarrassing television shows with the word "celebrity" used somewhat erroneously in their titles. He was a co-host of the rebooted Spicks and Specks with Josh Earl and Ella Hooper, and a regular panellist on Doctor Who aftershow Whovians, both on ABC TV. In 2025 he graduated from UTS with a Bachelor of Communication (Creative Writing) with First Class Honours, just to prove that he knew what he was doing.
