Adriel Smiley is a Toronto-based music journalist, audio producer, and founder of The Cool Table, a weekly radio show spotlighting new Canadian music. He is the co-creator/co-host of Album Mode, a nationally recognized album review podcast. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Polaris Music Prize and the National Campus and Community Radio Association. A two-time Best Canadian Music Writing honouree (2024, 2025), his work has appeared in CBC, Range Magazine, West End Phoenix, and Sportsnet, and recently contributed to The Fifth Estate’s Missing Black Boys investigation.
