I am Alaa El Fangary, an architect and interior designer turned digital artist and 3D animation pioneer. I hold a BSc in Architecture and Interior Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts, and I mastered 3D computer graphics for architectural visualization in 1985. In 1990 I opened the first studio specialized in 3D animation and architectural illustration in the Middle East. I later moved to Toronto, Canada and joined Imagenius Inc., where I led production and eventually became a partner and president.
During my career I produced animated promotional videos, interior designs, walkthroughs, digital art, and interactive media for Marriott, Trisec Hahn, and Intrawest, among others. I also taught 3D design visualization at Sheridan College. In 2002 I became a certified Autodesk 3DS Max instructor, returned to Egypt, and founded Imagenius Academy for Animation and Computer Graphics. I have received international acclaim for my contributions to television production, video animation, and design.
