Hi, I’m Alistair Melville. I’m a Composer/Singer/Songwriter and Producer based in Worcestershire, UK. I started performing on stage at age 10 in Scotland, and after leaving school I studied Music Recording Software at Salisbury College. I then moved to London to take professional singing lessons and began composing in the Singer/Songwriter genre. I perform under the stage name Al Melville, combining piano and keyboards with a baritone vocal style to bring emotional texture to my pieces. My career includes collaborations with artists such as Terry Oldfield and Peter Orr, and I work closely with Joy Mills. While living in Australia I was a Tropscore Awards finalist in 2013 for my score, run by APRA. I’ve composed across Piano, Classical/Orchestral, Singer/Songwriter, Pop, Ambient and Soundtrack genres, and I’m currently composing cues for AudioSparx under my stage name Al Melville.
