Anas Salaheldin is a Filmmaker based in Germany who earned his MFA in Documentary Filmmaking from Bauhaus-Universität Weimar. Before that, he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Screenwriting from the Higher Institute of Cinema in Egypt. He moved to Germany to work at the Open TV Channel in Magdeburg, where he began creating documentaries. His documentary 'Sanftes Blech | The Trombone That Saved Me' won Best Film at the Bundesfestival Film (2022) and JugendFilmPreis (2022), as well as Best Documentary Debut at the Egyptian National Film Festival. He also works as a full-time video producer at an advertising agency in Kiel.
