I had an 8 month contract with Coromandel based production company Fire Fire Media as an Edit Assist using Avid & DaVinci Resolve. We where producing a documentary series called ‘Our Other Islands’ for RNZ, Maori Television, RE as well content for their social media outlets.

My role consisted of bringing media into AVID, organising footage from each days shooting, cleaning footage up by removing vocals pops and cutting unnecessary shots. Editing interviews and making selects of the landscape/drone footage.

I also helped build grades for the series called “Fighting Chance” using DaVinci Resolve.

I worked for Smith&Sons New Zealand an international building franchise as a content producer/social media manager for one year.
For this job I was a one man band tasked with:

Shooting video content around the country.
Editing videos for social media/website distribution.
Interviewing clients and editing interviews to fit a narrative.
Editing audio/ creating soundtracks for the video content.
Creating, managing and posting regularly on instagram to generate leads.
Working with different franchise branches to work on creative strategy and offer advice on digital distribution.
Building and managing a website on SqaureSpace.

As part of my freelance with work with VICE AU I was tasked with capturing audio/sound for this piece about Chadstone shopping mall in Melbourne, Australia.

I was on the camera and edited this video for Vice Australia. The snuff puppets crew where super lovely to work with.
