Hi there, I’m Ani, and I am a video editor, animator, and content creator from Sofia, Bulgaria. In the past years I’ve worked in various positions in film and TV in some of the biggest production companies in Bulgaria, as well as having my own (more international) freelance video editing practice. I was a field producer and editor in the digital department of the Voice of Bulgaria, and a production assistant on a number of prime-time reality formats. I worked on castings for television commercials. I took a one-year break from TV to be an English teacher, which was both fun and incredibly challenging, as I worked with kids. For a couple of years now I’ve focused on editing, which has been a passion of mine since I was a student. I worked with the content-creator giant Jellysmack. Our focus was growing creators’ online presence by adapting their videos for different platforms. I analyzed and worked off of retention graphs and AB tests to maximize the reach of these channels and learned a lot about editing specifically for social media. You can see here some of my videos that went viral. They are on a variety of topics, from cooking and recipes, arts and crafts, to adventure and history. I worked with creators around the world to produce travel videos, social media educational and motivational videos, as well as product ads for TV and online marketing. I’ve edited for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and a Spotify podcast. My freelance practice has allowed me to travel a lot, which I love. I lived for 3 years in the UK during my studies, and more recently I spent two years in France and a year in Sweden. I have a C1 level of English, an American high school diploma, and a British university diploma from Lancaster University, where I graduated with a degree in Film Studies. My native language is Bulgarian, and I do have conversational knowledge of French, German, and Russian. I strive to constantly improve my skills, especially when it comes to editing and animation. I would say I am a very fast learner. In fact, I learned to create infographics in just three days for a client’s project. I have a lot of hobbies that I do my best to find time for. I jog and do boxing. I was actually the vice-president of my boxing club at Uni. I love reading, journaling, and learning languages.
