Senior Designer at United Nations Environment Programme

Responsible for proofing and designing layouts for four annual reports in seven different UN languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish). Designing visual communications materials including publication layout design, illustrations, infographics, icons, pictograms, typography, graphs/charts/tables, brochures, social media artworks, audio-visual animation, motion graphics, typesetting and printing. Creating the UNEP's publications and factsheet templates. Creating and designing the logo/visual identity and brand execution for UNEP global campaigns including World Environment Day, Think.Eat.Save, Champions of the Earth, UN Environment Assembly and Stockholm+50. Providing iconography design for UNEP's programs of work. Creating digital assets for UNEP's online platform including social media and the web. Participating in initial meetings with clients to discuss potential design projects, e.g., substantive content, communication objectives, media (including electronically published products) and design options, technical specifications, costs, schedules/ deadlines, assist in preparing and drafting project budgets and work plans. Conceptualizing ideas, concepts and designs and coordinate the creation of multifaceted communication for materials in print, and other mediums for a variety of informational, branding, and promotional projects. Independently undertake design assignments, including high-priority requests, for a variety of UN-sponsored activities (major conferences, events and campaigns). Designing templates for new publications and products in line with UNEP's brand guidelines in close cooperation with the other team members. Seeing projects through from initial brief to completion.
