I believe that good design changes how we see the world, how we interact with the world. Early in my career I left my agency job, seeking to make a difference through design. I joined the opening team at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, in Northwest Arkansas, which allowed access to art in ways that weren’t present in the region. In early 2020 we expanded and opened a contemporary art satellite, the Momentary. While at Crystal Bridges and the Momentary I grew the core design team to five, and provided creative direction to a digital, production, and social media team of eight—while continuing to create design work. I implemented brand standards and created a bilingual system within that. After 7 years I led the effort to update our branding to be accessible and completed a redesign of our website, CrystalBridges.org, and brought theMomentary.org online. My team provided support for 600 programs annually that range from gallery tours of 15 to events for 6,500, and our membership magazine readership was 14,000. The best way to ensure effective marketing was data: I implemented and led Design Sprints for our major projects, and have hosted physical and digital focus groups to better inform creative strategy. During the pandemic, I moved to remote work in Denver, Colorado for a space infrastructure and earth intelligence company, Maxar Technologies. I was promoted after 6 months to lead the corporate efforts of the design team, focusing on a global print and internal store solution, as well as a volunteer portal. I continued to work on digital marketing, tradeshow, and other projects, but I value the strategic vision in creating long-term solutions that create efficiencies and build a stronger brand. Maxar recently became a private company, and the new owners divided the company in two and eliminated the entire marketing department. I’m eager to leverage my experience to tackle new challenges. My portfolio houses a portion of my work, please get in touch if there is a particular type of project that would be helpful to view. Thank you for your consideration.
