Kelia vit à Teahupo’o, à Tahiti, où a lieu l’épreuve de surf des Jeux olympiques. Surnommée “miss Teahupo’o”, Kelia surfe presque tous les jours depuis l’âge de 3 ans. Elle vit avec ses parents et sa petite sœur. Lorsqu’elle ne surfe pas, elle aide sa mère à faire des bijoux en coquillage, une tradition en Polynésie. Kelia a eu la chance de porter la flamme olympique lorsqu’elle est arrivée à Teahupo’o.
