Hi, I’m Natalia Averianova, a passionate visual storyteller based in Brussels, Belgium. With over a decade of experience as a freelance illustrator, animator, and designer, I love bringing stories to life through children’s books, editorial work, and storyboards. My journey in art and animation has taken me from Moscow to Brussels, and I enjoy using a variety of traditional handmade techniques alongside digital tools to create unique and engaging visuals. I thrive on working independently from concept to final result, blending skills in drawing, painting, and animation with strong research and interpersonal abilities. When I’m not creating, I also enjoy sharing my knowledge as an art teacher. I’m fluent in English, French, Dutch, and Russian, which allows me to connect with diverse creative communities around the world.

uniE621 The Cat Had A Dream
An ordinary cat has an extraordinary dream: to become a bus driver. Laughed at by people and dismissed by other cats, he still studies hard and tries to take the driving test—but is refused because he’s a cat. With advice from his neighbour the Dog, he buys a human costume, passes the test, and happily drives the Number 36 bus every day. One day he notices another driver with a hidden tail and soon discovers that many bus drivers are actually cats in disguise. Relieved and proud, he realises he isn’t alone—and that believing in a Big Dream can lead to something truly a-meow-zing.
