Multiple award-winning documentary filmmaker Ayla Yildiz (*1991 in Wuppertal) is a trained media designer image/sound as well as image and multimedia editor and specializes in socially critical as well as political documentaries. Since 2010, the sole proprietor has been freelancing for various productions and takes on every step of the filmmaking process: conception, direction, camera and post-production. In her environment she is known as the “one-woman-show”.
She made her cinema debut in 2022 with the documentary “me time”. The film was independently planned, shot, edited, marketed and published in her own production. Yildiz, who lives in Bonn, mainly deals with socially relevant content.
Clients include the Funke Mediengruppe (one of Germany’s largest media groups) for various online platforms, WDR (Europe’s second-largest broadcaster) for the sports show “Sportschau”.
Creating inspiring films that not only make the audience think, but also herself and the protagonists, is her great passion.
