Lexi Zeigler (b. 2002, Bay Area, California) is a narrative illustrator and graphic designer currently working from Providence, RI aiming to complete her BFA in Illustration from Rhode Island School of Design in 2024. Combining a variety of both digital and traditional painting processes, she brings a multi-faceted empathy when communicating stories of the present that are influenced by memories of the past. She aims to visualize and make accessible the written legacy provided by old and new literature, assessing, recontextualizing, and subverting its nuanced guidance over the modern generation. Escaping through books since she was young, a respect for untold narratives and passion for amplifying human voices fuels her paintings, illustrated covers, and interior book designs. Zeigler’s work has recently been shown at Castro Valley Center for Performing Arts, California and at the Woods Gerry RISD 2024 Senior Show, Rhode Island.
