Artist Website: gracebiltzart.com Bio: Grace Biltz is a detail-oriented artist exploring the intersections of nature and urban landscapes through painting, printmaking, and drawing. Her work highlights the overlooked details of our surroundings, inviting a slower, more thoughtful engagement with the world. Biltz has exhibited at the MAC Gallery, Ro2 Art Gallery, and the Sarofim School of Fine Arts. She has attended residencies at Creekside Arts in California and Visitor Center Artist Camp and is currently enrolled in the New York Arts Program. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Southwestern University. Artist Statement: My art invites viewers to slow down and reconnect with the natural world by exploring the contrasts between micro and macro perspectives. Using drawing, painting, and printmaking mediums, I highlight often-overlooked details and perspectives found in nature and urban landscapes, while also delving into the conceptual significance of time, place, memory, and music. This collage of influences offers a deeper understanding of our surroundings. Through large-scale renderings of natural organic and geometric forms, I create immersive and intimate experiences that encourage mindfulness and contemplation, urging viewers to take a moment to be still, breathe, and be present. By magnifying these details, I aim to foster a greater appreciation for the beauties and intricacies of the world around us, as well as realize that our lives are made up of innumerable moments, and those in-between moments in life are crucial to what makes life truly beautiful, from the small blade of grass to the reflections in windows to the the relationships we nurture among ourselves and the environment around us.
