I am a freelance sound designer and editor, with extensive experience in theatre production, audio drama podcasts, and audiobook production. As an editor/engineer, I am dedicated to producing a clean and clear sound. As a sound designer across live and digital mediums, I create atmospheres and effects that make characters, settings, and emotion feel tangible to audiences.
My interest in sound started when I studied design & production as a drama major the University of Toronto, and I’ve used skills gained there to sound design plays and musicals with local theatre companies over the past 5 years.
I started to learn audio engineering in 2021, as a way to keep creating with my peers while we were doing school online. I produced a four-episode musical audio drama with a student club, and i discovered that I thrive in the detailed work of crafting immersive atmospheres and perfecting actors’ recordings.
Since then, I’ve been thrilled to design and produce two more audio dramas, and have started a freelance audio engineering practice alongside my live theatre work, mainly doing quality control and audiobook editing for Penguin Random House Canada. I am open for work in any of these fields, and wherever else stories need help being heard!
I am based in Toronto, Ontario, on land that has been home to my Anishinaabe ancestors and many more diverse nations since time immemorial.
