I have been a composer and arranger for over 40 years and, during that time, have wrotten well over 2000 works, some of which have been published. Publishing was not my main goal over the years as I was writing mainly for my own groups as well as doing custom work for schools and semi-professional musicians. In college I studied with Frank Hunter (see ASCAP profile). Among my works are many arrangement, some now available through Hal Leonard's Arrangeme.com website. I continue to write for high school bands, as well as do custom arranging for a few big bands in Georgia and North Carolina. I have completed the score to an independent movie that has yet to be released. I can provide links to clips on YouTube (they are private videos). Also, I have a number of arrangements and a few compositions on YouTube under boumpanimusic. I can write quickly, and produce a quality recording using samples, or direct a group of professional musicians in recording my music. I am a great believer the melody or theme of a work. A simple, catchy theme or even short motive can link a product to a company in the minds of those watching a commercial or short video. I feel the same way about film music. Themes can be the "in your face" style, like those of John Williams, or the more subtle themes of writers like Michael Giacchino or Alan Silvestri, etc. I can work fast, and I can deliver a clean product. My education includes a BA in Music Education, and MA in Music Composition, and a PhD in Music Education. In 2022 I retired from teaching at Gordon State College in Barnesville Ga. Before leaving I arranged the music for their alma mater and wrote an original composition that is now their college fight song. This bio may be short, but my works can speak for themselves, and I am always available to discuss projects. If someone contacts me and wants me to write something, I want to know exactly what that person is looking for in order that I might be the best job possible. IF someone does not like what I write and does not use it, I do not expect to get paid. I am that sure that I can deliver.
