In the early 80's the demand began for new-build systems in metro areas and the available work was substantial and long-term. I landed as an installer, climbing ladders, poles, towers, pulling, assembling with a team at six headend locations for Sammons Communications-Fort Worth. Over 17 years, I developed many skills in multi-facited electronics engineering, troubleshooting, escalated systems maintenance (analog and digital-fiber) and customer service solutions and management. Soon after Sammons was acquired by Marcus Cable. (3) Electronic Security Alarm/CCTV. I began my career in outside sales with ADT in 1998, encompassing new accounts for residential and commercial. Later I worked for ADT/Protection One/CSG Dealers, ProStar Security and Ranger American, finally for the Hawk Security brand under Interface, MyAlarm Center and Alert 360. As a Senior Consultant, I managed national commercial accounts. I retired from the industry in February 2024 after 25 years. (4) In the midst of the pandemic in 2021, I renewed my first love with the rapidly expanding new-media in my start-up company, Echo Hill Media.
