I started writing music for media in 2015, it’s safe to say the landscape has changed drastically. I believe to stay relevant and innovative in the custom-music for media space it is my responsibility to provide maleability and an abunance of options for directors and producers. that is my goal at the start of every project. I want you to come away with more than enough quality music that paints the accompanying landscape your visual and audio content needs.

Traitor is an award winning short film from LA based Rit Saraswat - executive producer of The Life and Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson and many more amazing projects. This film was pre-pandemic and highlights a dystopian future where races are at odds in a run down LA. We set out to create a traditional jazz-noir score and eventually it turned into an elevated suspenseful version of that.
Push is a short film from New York based actor and Director Ben Morang. The story centers around a slightly more sinister tale of a kidnapping gone wrong. Two characters tempt one another to hurt the man they kidnapped earlier in the day. This was a fun story to create a dark, sinister sound for in a psychological thriller genre.
Tell Me is an award winning short directed and written by LA based Jeanine Fiser. The story is rooted in comedy while touching upon tropes of invasive technology and insecurity within a relationship. We aimed to create a sci-fi esque light backdrop musically that the world would be centered around.
This spot was the first full song, arrangement style commercial I had done. It was a new experience and highlighted a different skill set of lyric writing and part-writing for multiple actors. It was also a lot of fun mixing in hip-hop and holiday music into a spot like this.
Another RL spot here centered around ambient nature. All of RL’s work is heavily focused on fashion and style - so it was important to try and stay out of the way of the visuals here and lean into the movement of the nature in the film. I really enjoy the minimalism in this spot and the ambience of it all.
There was no cooler way I could imagine heading into the 2024 Summer Olympics as a composer than getting to score a commercial for Olympic champion Suni Lee! This spot was all about swag, energy and movement - and I feel we achieved that confidently.
This short RL documentary was a great experience to work on. Highlighting the fashion at HBCU’s over the years was a very impactful story to create ambient music underneath. We started in a place of orchestral jazz aiming to make something that felt supportive and sweet, while still keeping the pace moving and energy exciting!
In this spot we were looking to write something smaller, more orchestral and peaceful. It was inspired by the animation and scoring of Miyazaki and Joe Hisaishi. The small intimate strings eventually build into a flourish and larger piece. This was one of my favorite scores to write in recent memory!
In this campaign we created a track that centers around the concept of NFL Quarterback Jalen Hurts changing his name to Jalen “Hulu Has Live Sports”. I wrote a track that starts with a mysterious score and leads into a triumphant pop banger. I recorded vocals on this track as well, writing the main theme “What’s My Name” which became the title and concept of the project.
