I'm Dan Smith, a Bristol-born, UK-based filmmaker with 16 years of hands-on experience across writing, directing, and editing. I learned at the side of BAFTA-nominated filmmakers Paul Katis and Andrew de Lotbiniere, and spent seven years at Pukka Films before going freelance in 2016. After a creative detour in Bangkok working on TV and feature projects, I’ve returned to the UK to focus on the new wave of digital content. Today I split my time 50/50 between feature films/narrative drama and digital/content work. I'm a writer, director, and editor who can shoot, light, and edit my own material, with a track record of EVCOM-winning narrative films for charities and government agencies.
