I’m Chloe Paris Simpson, a Pittsburgh-based documentary filmmaker. I created three short documentary films during my time in school by myself while also being a full-time student. I have a knack for turning a fresh, creative, and sensitive eye to local histories. I blend storytelling with archival research and person-to-person conversations and draw on my on hands-on production experience from WQED, the Warhol Museum, the University of Pittsburgh, and local and NYC-based nonprofits.
I enjoy collaborating across disciplines—education, public service, arts, and media—using the Adobe Creative Suite to craft powerful narratives. My favorite part about the documentaries I have made is the story editing process, which I find to be incredibly engaging and mentally difficult, but something that just makes sense to me.
