Coke Riobóo is a director, musician, and animator dedicated to the audiovisual and film industry for over 20 years. He established himself as an independent producer in 2011. Since 1997, he has composed music for short and feature film projects produced in Spain, Iran, Morocco, and Mexico. Since 2001, he has worked as an animator, collaborating on independent projects for theater, documentaries, and short films, in addition to directing his own projects. He has been an animator on commercial projects for brands such as Movistar, Imagenio, Blackberry, Acciona, Lego Masters, BBVA, Ecoembes, and more. His short film, El Viaje de Said (Said's Journey), subsidized by the Community of Madrid and the Government of the Canary Islands, won Best Animated Short Film at the 21st Goya Awards in 2007 and has since received nearly forty awards worldwide. His second short film, El Ruido del Mundo (The Noise of the World), received production support from the Community of Madrid and the ICAA (Spanish Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts). He won the prestigious Cacho Pallero Award at the Huesca Film Festival and has received over thirty international awards. His third short film, Made in Spain (produced with the support of the Community of Madrid), was nominated for a Goya Award for Best Animated Short Film and received, among others, the Critics' Award, the Telemadrid/La Otra Award, the Madrid en Corto Distribution Award at the Community of Madrid Short Film Week, and twenty national and international awards. Mad in Xpain, his fourth short film, made in 2020, has already garnered over 20 national and international awards. He currently combines his commercial work with new personal projects and continues teaching, giving courses and workshops around the world. He has been an animation professor for over 20 years. He has collaborated with various organizations such as AECID, Instituto Cervantes, Intermon Oxfam, among others, bringing the teaching of stop motion animation to different countries such as Senegal, Ethiopia, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Equatorial Guinea, Mozambique, Iran, Turkey, Jordan, Mexico, Honduras, Brazil, Peru, Venezuela, Paraguay, Serbia, Croatia, Portugal, Greece and of course Spain.
